Printers within the Geological Sciences Department

All the printers listed below are used through the print server geops. geops has the ip address of 128.148.124.140. Departmental printers are indicated in bold red type. Don't use a "private" computer unless you have permission from the owner. The print queues ending in ps use the postscript drivers provided by the server. The other print queues are raw queues on the server, where the drivers are provided by the user's computer. A DN on the as part of the type of printer indicates that the printer is capable of duplexing. Please use duplexing, double-sided printing, whenever possible.

**Unix printers in GeoChem will be set up to duplex output. If you wish single sided printed output, use the following: 

export PRINTER=gc-hpwhatever
lpr -o  sides=one-sided filename

where whatever is the name of the print queue that you want to use and filename is the name of the file that you want to print.
